    “Some of the Calgarians were helping work on Haiti OpenStreetMap, which uses up-to-date satellite images. Many of the aid workers are using smartphones and “when they’re delivering aid, if they go down a road and there’s a bunch of rubble and the road is wreaked, they can access this and have up-to-date information on their GPS (global positioning system) to find an alternative route”
